"Itself" - Mt Rainier from Seward Park

Many miles traveled with my parents to glorious wild places, near and far, but somehow we always felt that Mt Rainier was our adventure home. My dad hiked almost every trail in Mt Rainier National Park and many of those days were with our family or his best friend. Mt Rainier (Tahoma) became known to us simply as "Itself." I learned by being outside, now painting outside, to love this rich and varied landscape of the Pacific NW.
