Backpacking around the Great Lakes of Michigan is something my closest friends and I do together as often as possible. Our adventures in these marvelous environments have influenced my work for years. This painting pays tribute to those memories, posing my best friend, and Mala the lab, as characters inspired by the adventurous narrative album, The Point! by Harry Nilsson.
