I was drawn to this scene because of the incredible morning sun light bathing the side lawn, garden, and Carriage House of this magnificent historic home, The Deepwood Estate Museum and Gardens, in Salem, OR, the Capitol city of Oregon. To know me is to know I love History and so, I was drawn to that about this subject as well! I painted En Plein Air for the Salem Art Association’s 2021 Annual Paint The Town Plein Air Event. I painted it over 3, 2 hour sessions, meeting and talking with the many people that come to visit and learn the history of the Estate & Gardens.
