The inspiration for this piece came from seeing the very quaint cute cottages in Salem, Oregon’s downtown historic district with their cute colorful doors! When I came upon this red door I knew the minute I saw that I had to paint it! I LOVED the arched door with it’s arched window! Worked to creat depth in the archway! The red door against the vibrant sunlit greens surrounding it was fun to grab and of course I loved doing the violet blue dapple and shadows!! Omg this motif had it all!!
