Richlands Sunset

This painting was done in the studio from my videos and sketches taken at the location. I was driving on hwy 40w through a very unremarkable part of Richlands, a farming region in NC when I could see the most beautiful sunset starting off in the distance. I got off the hwy and traveled down a country road and started videotaping the sunset as the cast light over the wet fields was stunning. Painted using acrylic medium, brush and light palette knife.
