Rise Up

Rise Up is my largest plein air work I've tackled at 20x20. I was driving on the highway to an old boatyard on the coast during Plein Air Easton and had seen this agricultural scene each morning. This time the sun was just rising and I thought the geometry of the structure against the bright sunrise would make an interesting subject. The sun rose too quickly to complete in one go, so I went back the next morning. Lucky the weather was consistent - that doesn't always work. The coffee company who supplied us with lattes all week was called Rise Up and this was dedicated to them!
